Brendan Bell, a freshman at Scranton Prep, played a key role in helping his team win the PIAA Class 2A team championship. He shot a 2-over-par 74 at the Penn State Blue Course and tied for 18th in the PIAA Individual State Championships with a total score of 150. Bell placed fourth in the District 2 Championships and was a co-medalist (2 under, 70) in the Lackawanna League District 2 qualifier. He also performed well in the Bob Simons Classic, tying for sixth, low freshman. His contributions helped Scranton Prep remain undefeated in league play and secure its ninth straight Class 2A league title. He earned a First All-Region selection. He is currently the 9th top freshman in Pennsylvania.
